Due Diligence

Using exhaustive due diligence checklists that are consistent with the standards of foreign counsel but sensitive to the Mexican legal and business culture, Solcargo assists its clients to qualify and evaluate potential partners, targets, and transactions.

Whatever vehicle chosen by the foreign investor to enter the Mexican market, careful scrutiny and due diligence of all parties involved is a must. Mexican corporate culture often resists full disclosure and information, in general, is typically less public, making due diligence more difficult but all the more important. Corporate books, civil, commercial, labor, tax, contractual, litigation, administrative, and financial obligations must all be closely analyzed before formalizing mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
