Guillermo Solórzano is a founding partner of the Firm and heads its Intellectual Property Group from the Mexico City office.
Mr. Solórzano’s has broad experience in patents and trademarks registration, as well as administrative litigation.
Mr. Solórzano earned his law degree at the UNAM in 1991, and completed a Masters of International Affairs at Columbia University in 1994. He has been a CONACYT Scholar of the Mexican Federal Government. He also has a certificate in Corporate Finance from the Technological Autonomous Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
Mr. Solórzano has been a Professor at the Graduate Division of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the University of the Americas (UDLA) of the following courses: Intellectual Property Law, International Economic Law, Securities Market Regulations, Banking Law and Business Law, and International Banking Law.
Mr. Solórzano is a member of the Industrial Property Committee at the UNAM, a member of the Securities Law Academy, the International Trademark Association and President of the Center of Studies and Promotion of Industrial Property. He has been an arbitrator on matters related to intellectual property and banking and financial law with the Center of Arbitration of Mexico (Centro de Arbitraje de México).
Mr. Solórzano is fluent in English and Spanish.
