Representative Experience
- Mr. González’s practice focuses on public and private equity, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, cross-border financings, and general corporate matters, with a special emphasis on real estate matters.
- Mr. González has been named on of the top real estate lawyers in México by Chambers and Partners. He has also been nominated to appear in the International Finance Law Review as one of the pre-eminent practitioners in the field of private equity from Mexico. This was the first time a Mexican lawyer has been nominated to appear in this guide. Additionally, in 2005, Mr. González was named by Expansión magazine as one of Mexico’s 30 most promising 30-something professionals (“30 promesas en los 30”), the only lawyer to appear on the list.
- Mr. González is also an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) where he co-teaches the course “Entrepreneurship & Private Equity”.
- Mr. González participates in the Endeavor mentor program in Mexico, providing voluntary legal assistance for the launching of new enterprises. He has participated as a panelist at several International Bar Association conferences on various corporate and international topics. He is the author of “The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Private Equity in Mexico,” published in the Law and Business Review of the Americas of Southern Methodist University (Spring 2003), “The Unfulfilled Need of Venture Capital in Mexico,” in the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, and “Se Infla el Capital Privado,” in the magazine Expansión, (March 3, 2004), among many other articles.
